Payment Allocations
Partial Payments
If you do not pay your bill in full, your payment will be applied
to your account by category:
Category 1
Crown Point Telephone Corp. basic local service, which is billed
one month in advance, Local Service includes: Access line charge,
service order charges, Digi-Tone, listing charges, OPX bridge charges,
subscriber line charge, basic local service restoral charges, taxes,
& return check charges.
Category 2
Non Basic Services, custom calling features as listed in the informational
pages of the directory. Also includes the one time and wire maintenance
and phone plans, & additional listing charges
Category 3
Intralata Toll charges, all toll charges within the 518 area code.
Category 4
Other Toll charges, including long distance and informational provider
services.
Partial payments received up to 14 days after
the bill prep date will be applied in the following order:
First – to past due amounts (60
day arrears) in Category 1.
Second – to past due amounts (30
day arrears in Category 1
Third – to past due amounts (60
day arrears in Category 2.
Fourth – to past due amounts (30
day arrears) in Category 2.
Fifth – to past due amounts (60
day arrears in Category 3.
Sixth – to past due amounts (30
day arrears) in Category 3.
Seventh – to past due amounts (60
day arrears in Category 4.
Eighth – to past due amounts (30
day arrears) in Category 4.
Ninth – to current amounts in Categories
1-4.
Partial payments received 15 or more days after
the bill prep date will be applied in the following order:
First – to past due amounts (60
day arrears) in Category 1.
Second – to past due amounts (30
day arrears) in category 2.
Third – to current amounts in Category
1.
Fourth – to past due amounts (30
day arrears) in category 2.
Fifth – to past due amount (30 day
arrears) in Category 3.
Sixth – to current amounts in Category
2.
Seventh – to past due amounts (60
day arrears in Category 3.
Eight – to past due amounts (30
day arrears) in Category 3.
Ninth – to current amounts in Category
3.
Tenth – to remaining amounts in
Category 4.
Applying payments in this way helps to maintain
your basic local service if you are unable to pay your telephone
bill in full.
If you are unable to pay your entire telephone bill, partial payments
may result in the blocking or disconnecting of regional calls, regional
toll calls, optional services and services for other companies.
If those amounts remain unpaid, we will refer those portions of
your account to our collection attorney or agency. We will accept
payment toward these charges.
